After music and entertainment giant RS Plc was successful in winning the right to broadcast La Liga for three consecutive years from 2012 to 2015 with a value of concession of more than 1 billion baht, the company has joined force with strategic partners - Free TV Channel 7 and mobile operator Dtac to join broadcast 380 football matches of Spain's La Liga, the best league in the World, to Thai football fans.

Renaissance Bangkok - Surachai Chetchotisak, Chief Executive Officer, RS Plc. unveils that RS who won the three-year broadcasting rights for La Liga, Spain's top league, is ready to launch new sport channel - RS Sport La Liga on RS's satellite TV to live broadcast for the 2012 season, which would be happened in August this year. Audiences are able to watch the Spain's La Liga from all platforms and various channels such as satellite TV, local cables and Dtac online. All platforms would be broadcasted by RS Sport La Liga, the latest satellite TV of RS, under the concept of New Definition of Pay TV, allowing audiences watch the program easier, more convenience and fair price.

RS Plc targets the first 200,000 subscribers in the first season of Spain's La Liga and 800,000 subscribers as end of the 2015 season. A subscriber will pay only 100 baht per month. RS Plc is the first media operator in Thailand to offer the Pay TV with the fair charge for watching all 380 football matches. Subscribers can watch the matches all place all time with the convenience payment. Customers who want to be subscribers can call RS's call center 1781.

In response to Thai football fans nationwide, RS Plc in cooperative with free TV Channel 7 and free variety TV Channel 8 to broadcast free-to-air program. Channel 7 will broadcast 12 live football matches and Channel 8 will air one football match per week. The company sets aside budget of no less than 100 million baht for marketing activities along with the big event organization to create liveliness among Thai football fans nationwide.

Pornpan Techarungchaikul, Chief Operating Officer, RS Plc, adds that the company targets revenue for the three consecutive years from 2012 to 2015 of Spain's La Liga of more than 2 billion baht, of which 20% is sponsorship revenue, 70% is subscription revenue and the remainder is revenue from right management.

After surveying the market for several times, RS is confidence it can achieve the number of 200,000 subscribers as soon as the 2012 season arrival. The power of marketing campaigns that to be gradually launched, the company believes to welcome no less than 800,000 subscribers as end of the 2015 season.
