RS launches new premium free TV, "Channel 8 Infinity" a 24-hour channel broadcasting variety of quality contents

RS is ready to launch its new 24-hour free TV, Channel 8 Infinity. With Bt100 million investments, the new media is set to broadcast quality contents of variety kinds of program. With the overall of market growing, the new channel is expected to breakeven in one year. Two more channels are planed to launch by this year.

Lad Phrao -Pornpan Techarungchaikul, Chief Operating Officer of RS Plc., said that television broadcasting is now marching to the Red Ocean battlefield which means rallying in excessive business competition. The total market of Bt 60,000 million is an alluring cake where both large and small entrepreneurs would like to share. However, the one among a few of large producers who share the most portions is RS. Although there are choices of TV channels available as well as many new launches, RS is confident in the significant growth of TV broadcasting business. Viewers will decide what program they like. And with remote controller in hand, they can switch to another channel every minute as easy at only fingertip. Marketing strategy and quality content are what the producers should create to strictly hold its target group.

Among the complete entertainment investment, RS currently runs two TV channels. Featuring Sabaidee TV and YOU Channel, the former wins viewers at every age while the later ranks number one favorite channel among teenagers, according to Nielsen Media Research. The new channel, Channel 8 Infinity is now officially launched. Set under the concept of 24-hour variety free TV channel, the latest station is positioned to be a premium TV channel showcasing a wide range of quality entertainment programs for any age of viewers.

Programs also include local and international films, Asian and Korean series. An inaugurated Korean series is Bad Guy performed by heartthrob Kim Num Gil. Those who are interested in showbiz should not miss a daily in-depth entertainment news program called 108 which is on air three times a day.

Viewers will also find hilarious program "Ha 8 Talob", new quiz game show "Question No.8" with Kai-Pasit Apinyavath as a host, special talk show by Girly Berry singers "Girly Berry Limouscene", get to know Rattaphum Tokhongsub more in a reality show called "Film: One Man Show", plus number of concert performances run around the clock.

Channel 8 Infinity can be viewed via two systems of satellite broadcasting communication. The first is C Band by using PSI box modeled O2 and tune to channel 8. The other is KU Band by using DTV box and tune to channel 44. Nationwide cable TV customers can also watch Channel 8 Infinity. Expected to get 51 million spectators in the first year, RS is confident to breakeven within one year.

To widely promote this new channel, RS can raise public attention by using numbers of its media from radio programs, TV programs, modern trade, social network, showbiz, marketing event to artists. It also plans to launch two more TV channels by this year. The expected sales of RS Broadcast is Bt 400 million.
