"Honda" joins hand with "RS" investing over Bt70 million as the first major sponsor of Euro 2008 to bring an exciting and most awaiting program to Thai football fans

"Honda" invests more than Bt70 million to strengthen its motorcycle brand to reach more targets. Lately, Honda has joined hand with "RS" to be the first major sponsors to live broadcast the world's greatest football match, Euro 2008, where for Thai fans can enjoy every exciting match live. The sponsorship also covers many activities scheduled to promote the live broadcast.

Rachaprasong intersection- Mr. Senjiro Sakurai, President of A.P. Honda Co.Ltd., said that the marketing plan of this year is to reinforce its brand of Honda motorcycle among customers and to expand more targets as well as to affirm its image as leading motorcycle brand by serving closer to customers.

The marketing strategy to reach the target is to invest more than Bt70 million by joining with RS International Broadcasting and Sport Management Co.Ltd., or RSBS, a company in RS Public Company to sponsor live broadcast of Euro 2008, the world's greatest football tournament, which RSBS is the copyrighted licensee to live broadcast Euro 2008 in Thailand. Additionally, the sponsorship of Honda motorcycle also means to support many activities RSBS plans to organize in order to promote and warm up the exciting Euro 2008 to come.

Honda motorcycle marks as the first official sponsor of the live broadcast for Euro 2008 as well as a major sponsor of other activities to promote the live match on air. Moreover, Honda means to be a part to deliver live thrilling experience of Euro 2008 to Thai fans from the first match till the final game.

Surachai Chetchotsak, President of RS Public Company said that A.P Honda Co.Ltd., is the first sponsor for the event to promote UEFA EURO 2008 under Theme Sport Marketing to warm up the Euro 2008 which will take place from June 7-29, 2008 co-hosted by Austria and Switzerland.

On April 2008, there will be three sport programs on air on channel 9 featuring: Koh Tid Euro 2008 Evening News on air everyday at 8.30-8.35pm, Road To Euro on air every Sunday at 11.30pm-0.30am and Goal Moment Euro 2008 on air everyday at 0.30-0.45am.

There will be five sport programs on air on channel 7 and 9 during May, 2008 including channel 9's Koh Tid Euro 2008 Evening News on air everyday at 8.30-8.35pm, channel 9's Road To Euro on air every Sunday at 11.30pm-0.30am, channel 9's Goal Moment Euro 2008 on air everyday at 0.30-0.45am, channel 7's Inside Euro 2008 on air on Monday to Friday from noon to 12.15pm and channel 7's Count Down Euro 2008 on air on Monday to Friday at 5.15-5.30pm and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 12.15pm.

On June 2008, there will be seven sport programs broadcast on channel 7 and 9 as follows: channel 7's Inside Euro 2008 on air on Monday to Friday from noon to 12.15pm, channel 7's Highlight Euro 2008on air in Monday to Friday at 6.30-7am, channel 7's Joh Luek Euro 2008 on air on weekday from 5.15-5.30pm and weekend at noon to 12.15pm, channel 9's Euro 2008 Daily Report on air on Monday to Friday at 7.30-8am, channel 9's Star Euro 2008 on air on weekday at 5.10-5.15pm and weekend at 12.30-12.35pm and channel 9's Highlight Weekly on air every Sunday at 2-3pm.

There will also be three major activities during June 2008 including Euro 2008@ CentralWorld, Euro 2008@Future Park Rangsit and Eurobot 2008- a roadshow activity being held at 10 big cities all over the country featuring Chiang Mai, Nakhon Sawan, Pisanulok, Pattaya, Prachuab Kirikhan, Hat Yai, Phuket, Ubon Ratchathani, Khon Kean and Nakhon Ratchasima. The roadshow is held to give a breathtaking experience to football fans to enjoy the exciting Euro 2008 on the giant screen and to have fun with many games and mini concert performed by RS' artists.

Moreover, the company is ready to produce advertising and public relation through all kinds of media throughout the tournament ie: television medium through channel 7 and 9 as partner media, radio medium through three radio programs of the company including Cool 93FM, Max 94.5 Digital Radio and P.O.P. Radio- a Modern Trade Radio Station under the management of RS In Store Media, newspaper medium on Dara Daily, DaraDaily Weekend, Thai Rath, The Nation, Krungthep Thurakij, Kom Chad Luek, Siam Sport and through billboard advertising at major destinations as well as www.rsbs.co.th.
