RS changed sector under the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) from “Media & Publishing” to “Commerce” since March 2019 in order to be in line with a significant rising commerce revenue structure and business operation. Not only having its own products and media channels including TV, radio and online platforms, the Company also expands advertising and distribution channels through own offline platforms namely Channel 8, 3 satellite TVs and COOLfahrenheit radio station. In addition, the Company is striving to grow its online platforms including www.shop1781.com and LINE Shop, direct sales channel; also called LifestarBiz and via retail stores nationwide. This year, the Company has expanded distribution channels through advertising and selling products on other digital TV channel.

In August, BTS Group holdings PCL or BTS acquired a 6.7% stake in RS or 68 million shares from major shareholders. The partnership is intended to generate new business opportunities under commerce business and be able to expand horizontal growth in the future.

The Company exercises key strength effectively by advertising and selling through its own digital television “Channel 8”, 4 satellite television channels, radio station “COOLfahrenheit” and online media at www.shop1781.com and @Shop1781 (LINE SHOP). In addition, growing customer database has been managed in a systematic manner and the Company has also developed a telesales team to encourage an increase of the number of new customers and repeat purchase of existing customers, resulting in higher sales volume. Channel 8 enjoys being among the top ranks in the country’s ratings, this was due to its highly popular programming, including those in the news category, foreign series, sports programs and Thai drama series.
