Responsibilities toward Society, Environment and Stakeholders

The Company encourages sustainable development with responsibilities toward society, environment and all stakeholders which is divided into group activities as shown below.

1. Equitable Business Practices

The Company strives for legitimacy practice, and performs its duties with honesty and straight forwardness under the Company’s rules and regulations and performs the business ethics in all its activities and decision-makings of the Company.

2. Anti-Corruption

The Company recognizes the importance of fighting corruption. The policy against corruption lays out the Company's practices even more clearly, and rejects corruption in all forms. It also builds awareness and promotes the values of integrity and honesty, as well as makes the fight against corruption part of the corporate culture. Anti-corruption efforts fall under supervision, control, risk management and internal control systems that help prevent corruption more effectively.

3. Complying with Human Rights

The Company stresses the importance on complying with human rights by adhering on its business practices to be in accordance with human rights which is the basic rights of all human beings who are born with equality with the same honor, and privilege without deprivation or non-allowance of any special rights, or any discrimination due to their differences on races, nationalities, religions, genders, color of their skins, ages, languages, or educational institutions, and including other items unrelated to the discrimination on human rights.

4. Fair Treatment towards Employees
  1. Treat employees with respect for individuality and human dignity, with equality in terms of race, religion, gender and disability
  2. Respect the right for privacy; personal information of employees must be protected from abuse, disclosure or transfer of data
  3. Provide fair compensation to employees; the organization pays higher wages than the minimum wage rate
  4. Organize benefits for employees, including health insurance, life insurance, various types of financial assistance
  5. Maintain a working environment that is safe for the life and property of employees at all times
  6. Appoint, transfer, reward and punish employees in good faith, based on knowledge, ability and suitability of the staff
  7. Thoroughly impart importance to knowledge development and the capability of employees
  8. Prioritize the staff and involve them in giving feedback and asking questions to jointly develop the organization
5. Responsibility to Customers and Consumers

The Company intends to create, produce, and distribute quality goods and services; this includes media productions and all forms of entertainment to continuously satisfy customers of the Company, as well as engage service departments to oversee, clarify doubts, and solve problems for customers. The Company welcomes the return of all types of products if they are found to be defective, do not meet quality requirements, or cause problems once they have been used.

6. Environmental Stewardship

The Company maintains an awareness about conducting its business with social and community responsibility, taking into account the effects that its activities may have on natural resources and the environment. As such, there is a campaign to reduce paper usage, switching to electronic data storage instead. Also, the Company helps support various activities where employees have the opportunity to do good and foster a spirit of volunteerism, enhance society and communities, and maintain and restore natural resources. This includes continuous community development, with a focus on sustainable development.

7. Development of a Community or Society

The Company has promoted the development of a better society through its own efforts as well as working with the state and community, and encouraging employees and staff to regularly participate in various activities for the community and society. There are tracking means to measure progress and long-term success in order to ensure that the Company has complied with its social and environmental policy. In 2019, the Group demonstrated its role and responsibility towards society through the following activities:

RS believes in helping society, guided by morality and respect for human rights. The Company spotlighted two stars from the drama "Thepthida Khon Nok" from Channel 8, Iang Sittha Sapphanuchat and Pleang Kalapas Konjam, and news anchors from the morning talk show, LeeShare Wiyada Peerarattakun and U Sathaporn Riyapa, as model citizens who radiate kindness, create benefit and engage in charity. They were part of the fundraising campaign "Ananda Mahidol Day Pin”, raising money to support the Ananda Mahidol Foundation, the Thai Red Cross Children’s Home and assistance for poor monks and other impoverished patients of Chulalongkorn Hospital and the Thai Red Cross. The Company also received the Ananda Mahidol Day pin from HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn at the Faculty of Medicine Building of Chulalongkorn University.
RS maintains a sense of social responsibility and participates in community development by supporting the reduction of new smokers and reducing cigarette smoke. The Company sent Goong Suthirat, an actor from the drama "Thepthida Khon Nok" on Channel 8 and a non-smoker with good behavior, to this campaign, both as a presenter and to receive a plaque on World No Tobacco Day 2019 from the Ministry of Public Health and the World Health Organization. Honored professor Dr. Piyasakol Sakolsatayatorn, Minister of Public Health, presided over the award ceremony at the terrace on the 1st floor of Central Eastville shopping mall.
RS and Channel 8 were recognized for their social responsibility, and responsibility to communities, customers and consumers. They present the news with fairness, openness, awareness, honesty and integrity, in line with shared values. The evening news program announcers on Channel 8, Lukgaed Romklao Amatayakun and Naz Teekamporn Youkamnerd received the 3rd Nakharaj Award in the category of Best News Anchor Team of the Year for the Channel 8 evening news. In addition, Aof Akkarapon and Lukgaed Romklao also received the Male-Female Newscaster of the Year Award, an award that judges the news quality of Channel 8 both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. It was organized by Dara Inside Magazine and the Association of Journalists of Thailand, to offer encouragement to those who do good for society.
RS and Channel 8 both encouraged development of the community by bringing content, news and knowledge that are beneficial to people from all walks of life. The news anchor team from Channel 8 Morning News, including U Sathaporn, LeeShare Wiyada and Koi Boonyitha were honored with the Thep Panjasingkhorn Nakaraj Isaan Award 2019 as the Isaan people’s favorite news program. The awards were held to encourage people to do good through good governance.
RS participates in social responsibility and responsibility to its consumers. The Company joined a campaign for upholding mother’s grace and being a good example. Artists and celebrities Suthiwan Thaweesin and Chanon Thipkanok from the story “Lae Ranjuan” on Channel 8 received a plaque for their filial piety From HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narentira Thepwadi Kromluang Ratchasinee Siripatchara Maha Watcharachida at the Council of Social Work of Thailand under royal patronage on National Mother's Day.
RS joined in the effort for community development and responsibility to consumers in regard to the critical PM 2.5 situation, with dust sized less than 2.5 microns or PM 2.5, in Bangkok and the suburb areas. Channel 8 television collaborated with the PM 2.5 teams of the Department of Health, Ministry of Public Health, led by news anchors and actors from Channel 8 from the drama "Thepthida Khon Nok", Iang Sittha Sapphanuchat, Lukgaed Romklao Amatayakun, Naz Teekamporn Youkamnerd and Aof Akkarapon Thongtharadol were part of a campaign to distribute N95 masks filtering the small PM 2.5 particles to the people in Soi Lalaisap, which houses communities that are most affected by the toxic dust in Bangkok. They also invited the public to take care of their health, wear a mask and live by the principle of “protection first”.
RS helps society with moral principles, and adheres to respecting human rights. Two actors from the Channel 8 drama “Manee Naka”, Mungkorn Paphawin Hongkajorn and Mean Aujjima Kosuma attended a Mahidol Day press conference as presenters. “Mahidol Day” falls on the 24th of September every year, a day of remembrance of Ananda Mahidol or the “Father of Modern Thai Medicine”. Mangkorn and Min also served as the leaders of the public relations campaign with students from the Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital and Mahidol University. They invited people to purchase the Mahidol flag, raising funds to help disadvantaged patients at Siriraj Hospital, and to foster the spirit of charity, following in his Majesty’s footsteps, at the Wang Lang Market area of Siriraj Piya Mahakarun Hospital.
RS considers helping society with morality and adhering to respecting human rights, including co-developing communities to live together harmoniously in the same society. Led by RSiam’s Lada Suksawatchon, along with artists and actors from the Channel 8 drama “Sang Nang Prai”, the group acted as presenters for the awareness of World AIDS Day. They invited the Thai people to come together to prevent AIDS, under the concept of "Community makes a difference - unite the community to stop AIDS" with Professor Kittikhun; Dr. Praphan Phanupak, Director of the Thai Red Cross Aids Research Center; Dr. Suwanachai Wattanayingcharoenchai, Director-General of the Department of Disease Control; and Professor Narin Hiran Sutthikul, Vice Chancellor of Chulalongkorn University as the president. They held a press conference on World AIDS Day, which falls on the 1st of December every year.

The Council of Social Work of Thailand under royal patronage chose two actors from Channel 8, Ohm Thitiwat Ritprasert from the “Lae Ranjuan” drama and Pleang Thanyaporn Khongcham from "Thepthida Khon Nok" drama as volunteer presenters on “Jasmine for Mother's Day” in 2019 on “National Mother's Day” (12th of August of every year). In addition to jointly publicizing the campaign, they invited the event participants to buy jasmine products on Mother's Day.
RS joined the community development efforts and supports the policy to reduce the rate of alcohol drinkers in Thailand. Two Channel 8 stars, Mungkorn Paphawin Hongkajorn from the drama “Manee Naka” and Pleang Kalapas Konjam from "Thepthida Khon Nok" drama, served as presenters of the National Alcohol Abstinence Day from the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Public Health. They campaigned for Thais to abstain from drinking alcohol for three months during Buddhist Lent; this will help reduce expenses by over 11 billion baht, serving as a starting point to reduce and stop drinking alcohol, and strengthen the family institution under the slogan “Love life, don't be addicted to alcohol” to build a healthy life, as well as safe and inviting communities free from accidents and serious illness caused by alcohol consumption.
Due to the flooding in 40 provinces in the northeastern region and northern Thailand, Channel 8 television opened an account to receive donations from people all over the country. Under the “Channel 8 Sharing Kindness to Fight Flood” project, in collaboration with the county Army and provincial Army, they donated more than 2 million baht that was collected to help with homes and schools damaged by the floods. In addition, sports equipment and survival bags were provided to six schools and activities were done to paint the libraries, clean up the area and distribute ice cream to the students.
RS joined community development efforts and supports the policy to reduce the number of accidents during the New Year holidays. Artists of RSiam, part of RS Public Company, Bao Wee RSiam, Ton Khao RSiam and Pleang RSiam joined in the campaign to reduce accidents during the New Year Festival at the "Safe New Year, No Drunk Driving, Reduce Accidents During the 7 Dangerous Days". They gave away stickers to tour bus drivers and passengers using the transportation service at Mo Chit as well as joined a tour to see and learn how to use alcohol detectors for bus drivers in order to get serious on the measures for drunk driving and to warn the public to respect traffic rules, use caution when travelling on the road and live life consciously during the long New Year holidays from December 27, 2018 to January 2, 2019 (the 7 days of danger).
RS joined the community and supports the policy to reduce the accident rate during the Songkran festival. Artists Ton Khao RSiam and Pleang RSiam from Channel 8’s “Thepthida Khon Nok” drama joined in the campaign to reduce accidents during Songkran’s 7 deadly days by giving out helmets and spreading awareness to the public from April 11 to 17, 2019. They also expressed their intention to see the readiness of Thai society help prevent and reduce casualties and destruction of public property. To further raise awareness on road safely and the prevention of accidents through the reduction and abstinence of alcohol drinking during the Songkran festival, they gave away stickers and helmets for drivers and people who use cars.
RS honors the royal benevolence and maintains responsibility to the society and the community. The coronation of His Majesty the King Rama X is considered a very auspicious ceremony, and Channel 8’s leading actors and artists from RSiam were present for the occasion. They wore yellow shirts adorned with the royal insignia to honor His Majesty’s first official appearance and the royal land procession.
RS honors the royal benevolence and maintains responsibility to the society and the community. The Company brought volunteer celebrities and artists to invite people to dress in Thai costumes to take pictures for charity in the “Oun Ai Rak Klai Kuam Nao” event of “Sai Nam Haeng Rattanakosin”. Participants enjoyed a photoshoot with volunteer celebrities and artists from RS in the area of the Aisawan Throne Hall. Interested people could participate in this charity photography event, and all the income earned, without deduction of any expenses, will be used to help those in need throughout the region.
RS maintains responsibility to society and communities in honor of His Majesty the King Rama X. On the auspicious occasion of the King's birthday, actors and actresses from the drama “Manee Naka”, “Thepthida Khon Nok”, and “Lae Ranjuan” from Channel 8 joined the “10 Streams of Goodness” Project, to do good from the heart and come together to donate blood. This was in honor of His Majesty the King. It also helped to build a better understanding of blood donation and encouraged people to keep this issue close at heart. The event was organized by the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, in collaboration with the Thai Red Cross Blood Service Center. Many celebrities and artists wore yellow shirts to donate blood and they invited the Thai people to donate blood as well.
RS honors the royal benevolence and maintains responsibility to society and the community. On the auspicious occasion of HRH Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, RS organized a “This Drop for Mom” activity to donate blood on Mother's Day, to mark gratitude for mothers all over the country. The effort was led by artists of RSiam, Channel 8 news presenters and company staff who all donated blood at the Thai Red Cross’s blood bank to use in emergency cases.
RS honors the royal benevolence and maintains responsibility to society and the community. On the occasion of His Majesty the King Rama X’s 67th birthday, Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha, along with Mr. Anutin Charnverakul, Deputy Prime Minister, led RS actors from “Thepthida Khon Nok”,” drama and artists from RSiam of RS to do good in the project, “Plant Yellow Start Trees in Honor of HM the King”, which was organized by the government sector of the Council of Social Work Thailand under royal patronage, along with the Miracle of Life Foundation, Royal Thai Armed Forces, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives and Army. They planted 110 Yellow Star trees and encouraged the Thai people to express their goodwill to the monarchy and mark his birthday by wearing yellow shirts and planting additional Yellow Star trees.

8. Innovation and Spreading Innovation, Operating with Social, Environmental, and Stakeholder Responsibility

The Company does not stop in its search for new businesses that build on and expand the existing business, amidst changes that occur in each era. The Company is ready to adapt, and leverage the strengths of its existing personnel and resources for maximum benefit. It also introduces new technology and innovation to create the greatest value. This can be seen from the emergence of its Commerce business. The Company has been inspired to produce innovative global health and beauty products as well as to develop products to meet the needs of consumers, providing them with the best quality of life. The Company recognizes the importance of human capital, which is the most important factor that will drive the organization towards its goals. The Company has thus laid out a plan to enhance and develop its human resources as follows:

  1. Set a plan and clearly allocate a budget each year. There are 3 levels of human resource development: Organization Development, Career Development and Training Development.
  2. Arrange annual health checkup for employees, with an appropriate health checkup program, and negotiate with the hospital to provide added screening programs to employees at a special price. Also, coordinate with the hospital to bring the checkup program to the Company’s premises.
  3. Allocate staff welfare benefits such as medical expenses through life insurance and group accident insurance plans, and other financial assistance such as for an employee’s funeral; death of an employee’s father, mother, child or lawful spouse; employee’s marriage; and employee’s ordination etc.
  4. The Company continuously places importance on the engagement of employees in the organization, offering various initiatives such as We Applause activities and activities that encourage employees and congratulate them, on an individual or group basis, when success is achieved. This creates pride in their work. Job Switching activities allow participants to try to work in other functions, which helps create greater understanding among employees.
  5. The Company announces policy on safety, health, and environment in the working place by arranging all levels of employees to join in many levels of safety levels. This is to move its safety policy to be more substantially viable and correspondence with related laws and safety standards.

6. Caring for the Environment

The Company encourages campaigns and creates awareness among employees in the conservation and efficient use of various resources and energy. There is a campaign for employee to encourage the reduction of plastic cup usage, and to use cloth bags instead of plastic bags. The Company also publicizes eco-friendly guidelines that can be implemented in the daily lives of executives and artists, as well as creates and supports activities that are continuously beneficial to the preservation, conservation and use of natural resources, the environment and energy. The promotion of campaigns and cultivation of consciousness in knowing the value of and appreciating and using resources effectively include reducing the use of paper and employing more electronic data; using two-sided paper; helping to save electricity by shutting down the air conditioning system about 30 minutes before work ends; taking out the middle light bulb in a 3-bulb light fixture; and turning off the air conditioner and lights during the break. By displaying public relations media at various points, employees are aware of the campaign objectives.

7. Development of a Community or Society

The Company has pushed for the development of a better society through its own efforts as well as working with the state and community, and encouraging employees and staff to regularly participate in various activities for the community and society. There are tracking means to measure progress and long-term success in order to ensure that the Company has complied with its social and environmental policy. In 2018, the Group demonstrated its role and responsibility towards society through the following activities:

COOLfahrenheit, led by Mr. Prinn Muensuksaeng, Managing Director, along with CoolJ. Pipe Kitcharoenkankul gave money from the activities of “COOL Running #runforlook” to the Prostheses Foundation of Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindra the Princess Mother. Dr. Wirat Phanpanich, Deputy Secretary of Administration, and Dr. Phirun Kham-oun, Deputy Secretary-General for Academic Affairs and Research, received the funds, which will be used for making prosthetic legs for underprivileged disabled persons.
COOLfahrenheit, led by Mr. Prinn Muensuksaeng, Managing Director, and CoolJ., as a representative, brought donations from the activities of “COOL Degree, Listen for Good 2018", where listeners and fans do something good together. They accumulate listening points through the COOLISM application to exchange for donations delivered to Thai Blind Foundation and Foundation for the Blind in Thailand under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King.
Artist representatives were led by Mungkorn-Paphawin Hongkajorn and Mean-Aujjima Kosuma from Channel 8 and Tonkhao-Khemnat Thajiramongkolkit or Tonkhao RSiam and Kluay-Sirirat Janthed or Kluay RSiam, from the RSiam Label, under the “Channel 8 Project to Help Flood Victims”. The rehabilitation and cleanup efforts were joined by Mr. Sitham Ratchakaew, Chief District Officer of Ban Laem in Phetchaburi Province, and more than 200 villagers from the community in the area around the Murahman Islamic Mosque in Bang Khrok District, Ban Laem District, Phetchaburi Province. The artists offered encouragement to the flood victims whose homes and public community areas were destroyed. In addition, the artists distributed shirts to the victims as well.
On the occasion of National Mother's Day 2018, the Social Welfare Council of Thailand under Royal Patronage provided food for travellers at Hua Lamphong Railway Station in honor of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, Queen of King Rama IX. Two volunteer artists from the Company were present, led by Lala RSiam and Thanya RSiam, who helped hand out 5,000 food tiffin sets to the travellers.
The "Sharing of Hearts from Friend to Friend No. 3" by pop-rock artists of Thailand, “Flame” band, included Keng-Aphimongkol Koonthakar, Jane-Watcharasak Kamsaen and Jo-Sarit Charatwirot; they invited fellow artists and fans to join a lunch, with a mini concert at the Protection and Development Center for People with Disabilities (Female), Khlong 6, Pathum Thani province.
COOLfahrenheit, together with the Naval Radio Station covering the entire country, led by Mr. Prinn Muensuksaeng, along with CoolJ. Kan-Rangrong Wannarot, CoolJ. Tum-Phatawut Singhasenee and CoolJ. Nick-Tiraphata Chaijanya, organized an activity to share love and kindness for the underprivileged in the “Voices for Children” project at Baan Dek Ramindra School (blind and disabled children’s home). They donated money and necessary supplies, and served a meal. They also did activities to create happiness and bring smiles to the children.
On the occasion of the birthday of Her Highness Prince Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra, the Social Welfare Council of Thailand under the Patronage of His Majesty the King, held an event titled, “Remembering Princess Galyani Vadhana…Kaew Kalaya Flower of the Country”, to commemorate her dedication to the disabled. It was widely publicized at the Atrium3 Zone, Central World Shopping Center, by Tonkhao RSiam and Pleng RSiam, representatives of the artists from the RSiam label. They also sold Kaew Kalaya flower products and artificial flowers made by disabled people to raise funds to help people with disabilities all over the country.
Dr. Ong-Art Singlumpong, MD of Channel 8 television station, along with affiliated actors Fluke-Jira Danborwornkiat, Iang-Sittha Sapphanuchat, Jean-Gaewalin Sriwanna and Fai-Weluree Disyabutra, donated income after deducting expenses in the activity titled, “Hanuman Urban Run” to the Veterans Hospital, supporting the provision of tools, appliances and medical equipment.
Two stars, led by Bowling-Prisana Kampusiri, an artist from Channel 8, and Lada RSiam from the RSiam label, joined as the facilitators of the National Children's Day event. Activities included “Merit-making Activities for Non-Cruelty Towards Animals” of the Thai Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (TSPCA) at Dusit Zoo (Khao Din Wana) in order to instill knowledge, understanding and compassion for animals in children and young people.
Mrs. Wallaya Wattanatham, Director of Bangkok’s Environmental Department, organized a 1-hour lights-off campaign to reduce global warming in the campaign “60+ Earth Hour 2018”. Thai people across the country were invited to turn off the lights for 1 hour. Artists from Channel 8, including Fai-Weluree Disyabutra and Krit Amornchailerk, acted as the presenters. They also joined as ambassadors in the campaign. Other large cities all over the world also participated, to help save electricity, which is one of the causes of the global warming crisis.
Gen. Prawit Wongsuwan, Deputy Prime Minister, presided over a ceremony, along with the Deputy Minister of Commerce, Director-General of the Department of Intellectual Property and RS artists, including Mungkorn-Paphawin Hongkajorn of Channel 8, Keng-Aphimongkol Koontakarn, Thanya Daraphat Taweenan or Thanya RSiam and Tonkhao-Khemnat Thajiramongkolkit or Tonkhao RSiam. They were joined by network partners in the Subcommittee for the Suppression of Intellectual Property Violations, Internal Security Administration Division, Royal Thai Army, Royal Thai Navy, Royal Thai Police, Ministry of the Interior, Department of Intellectual Property, Department of Customs, Department of Special Investigations, Public Relations Department and private owners of intellectual property rights. The group presided over the destruction of intellectual property infringement goods from cases in which final rulings have been made.
Commander and Female Medical Officer Ubonwan Jaroonruankrit, Director of the National Blood Center of the Thai Red Cross Society and the National Blood Service Center of the Thai Red Cross Society, led artist Bew Kalayanee RSiam to meet with General Prayut Chan-ocha, Prime Minister, to invite Thai people to dress in Thai costumes and donate blood. The purpose was to preserve Songkran traditions in the project called “Donate Blood During the Drought Season” at the National Blood Service Center, in order to maintain a sufficient blood supply to dispatch to various hospitals throughout the country.
Mr. Thiraphong Pangsiwong, President of the Thai Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (TSPCA), and Dr. Panthep Rattanakorn, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Mahidol University, presided over the event “Love, Do Not Set Free for Set Zero No Rabies" to exchange knowledge and create an understanding about solving stray animal problems by campaigning for stray dogs to be vaccinated. Artists Mungkorn-Paphawin Hongkajorn and Goodwill Ambassador of TSPCA Mim-Rattanaporn Klinkulaphiran of Channel 8 also participated in the event.
RS stars and Channel 8 artists, such as Mungkorn-Paphawin Hongkajorn and Tonkhao RSiam as presenters, joined the campaign for Thai people to refrain from drinking alcohol throughout the three months of Buddhist Lent. At the press conference on “National Alcohol Abstinence Day”, which corresponds with Buddhist Lent Day of every year, they explained that abstinence will help reduce expenditures by more than 11 billion baht, which is the starting point to reduce and stop alcohol consumption, strengthening the family institution. The project, “Stop Alcohol for the Buddhist Lent”, also sought those with alcohol drinking problems, offering access to treatment systems, going hand in hand with all activities organized for “National Alcohol Abstinence Day”.

Awards Received in 2018
Fluke-Jira Danbowonkiat, an artist from Channel 8, was selected by the Thai Red Cross AIDS Research Center as the “World AIDS Day Presenter of the Year 2018”. He received a commemorative medal from Her Royal Highness Princess Somsawali, and campaigned for the greater awareness among Thai people to prevent AIDS.
Artists Aof Dokfah RSiam and Kanda RSiam received the Diamond of Siam Award 2018 (the outstanding citizens of the year 2018) in the actors and artists segment, as organized by the Thai Creative Media Club.
Country singer Bew Pongpipat RSiam received recognition on behalf of RS Public Company Limited and as a presenter for the Day of the Disabled 2018, in which there were sales of Kaew Kalaya flowers. The flowers, symbolic of the plight of disabled persons, helped to raise income to help people with disabilities.
“RSiam”, Thailand's first borderless music label, received the “Diamond Button” award from YouTube because its number of subscribers surpassed 10 million people. This is considered to be a proud moment, and one that guarantees the success of “RS” in terms of reaching new consumers who have experienced lifestyle changes given the shift in modern technology.
The announcers Duay-Phakaphong Udomkalayalux and Naz-Teekamporn Youkamnerd from the program “Pak Tong Dong Ru” of Channel 8 received a Pikanaysuan Award in the category of “Outstanding Professional Development Support Program”. This was organized by the Assembly of Television News Programmers and Newspaper Operators of Thailand in the 6th National Radio Television Ganesha Awards 2018.
Creating the sentiment among Thai teenagers to not try smoking, two artists from RSiam label served as good models; they included Thanya RSiam and Lada RSiam, who received the Artist Award for a Smoke-Free Society in Thailand for the year 2018.
The Artist Council Promoting Buddhism of the Thailand National Buddhism Office, Department of Religious Affairs, and Ministry of Culture, along with Somdej Phra Phutthajarn of Wat Traimit, together presided over the award ceremony “Buddhism Ambassadors for Makha Bucha Day 2018”. Channel 8 performers Jean-Gaewalin Sriwanna and Krit Amornchailerk received the award, honoring them as Thai Buddhists who continuously teach the ways of Buddhism and always maintain the spirit of supporting society.
Actors, presenters and announcers from Channel 8, such as Nan-Kanda Srithammupatham, Fai-Weluree Disyabutra, Krit Amornchailerk and Aof-Akkarapon Thongtharadol, received the “Ananda Mahidol Day” pin, and served as models for the donation campaign for Ananda Mahidol Day. This was to raise funds to support the Ananda Mahidol Foundation, the Thai Red Cross Children’s Home, the Red Cross, sick monks and poor patients of Chulalongkorn Hospital of the Thai Red Cross Society.
Koi-Boonyita Ngamsupapasil and LeeShare-Wiyada Peerarattakun from the Channel 8 morning news program received the “Gold Scales” award plaque for outstanding persons of the year 2018 from the Federation of Child and Youth Aid of Thailand, Association of Consumer Protection Institute and their affiliated networks for 2018. In its 7th edition, the event encourages, raises the status of and gives recognition to people who serve as volunteers.

  1. The annual operational plan and budget have been clearly specified and arranged accordingly. Human resources development is divided into 3 levels i.e. Organization Development, Career Development and Training Development. In 2017, there are altogether 11 training courses of 29 classes, which can be separated; in-house training of 197 hours and external training of 428 hours, totaling 625 hours. The Company also holds training programs as required by law: 1) General Safety for Employees and New Employees (5 classes); 2) Security Officials in Executive Management (1 class); 3) Security Officials in Supervision (1 class); and 4) Basic Fire Extinguishing (1 class).
  2. Arranged annual health checkup for employees, with an appropriate health checkup program, and negotiated with the hospital to provide added screening programs to employees at a special price. Also, coordinated with the hospital to bring the checkup program to the Company’s premises.
  3. Allocated staff welfare benefits such as medical expenses through life insurance and group accident insurance plans, and other financial assistance such as for an employee’s funeral; death of an employee’s father, mother, child or lawful spouse; employee’s marriage; and employee’s ordination etc.
  4. Announced policy on safety, health, and environment in the working place by arranging all levels of employees to join in many levels of safety levels. This is to move its safety policy to be more substantially viable and correspondence with related laws and safety standards.
5. Responsibility to Customers and Consumers

The Company intends to create, produce, and distribute quality goods and services; this includes media productions and all forms of entertainment to continuously satisfy customers of the Company, as well as engage service departments to oversee, clarify doubts, and solve problems for customers. The Company promotes and builds awareness among staff about conservation and prudent and efficient use of resources and energy, as well as continuously creates and supports activities that benefit the preservation, conservation and use of natural resources, the environment and energy. The Company also promotes campaigns that raise awareness and recognize the benefits of shared values and efficient use of resources; this includes saving electricity by shutting off the air conditioning 30 minutes before the end of the work day, ceasing to use the middle tube in lighting fixtures comprised of 3 tubes, and saving water by having staff check for leakages each day. There are also measures to conserve energy in other areas of the workplace, including the use of both sides of a piece of paper, and a plan to implement additional energy efficiencies such as a campaign to encourage employees to use the stairs instead of the energy-consuming elevators. Additionally, signage posted at various points reminds employees to turn off the lights during lunch breaks.

In remembrance of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, artists of RS (Public) Company Limited such Goong Suthirat Wongthewan, Ying Thitikarn RSiam, and Bew Pongpipat RSiam sang “Rak Por Mai Mee Wan Por Piang” along with the Public Relations Department’s band as part of the performances for the Royal Cremation Ceremony.
The Social Welfare Council of Thailand joined the Miracle of Life Foundation to host “Miracle of Life Foundation Commemorates the 13th Anniversary of Pol. Ltd. Khun Poom Jensen” as a volunteer event for the public benefit. Activities included tree maintenance and planting at Wachirabenchatat Park (Suan Rot Fai) with actors from Channel 8, led by Iang Sittha, Nan Krittaporn, and Tanya RSiam as volunteers.
Artists from Channel 8 and RSiam music label, led by Bowling Pridsana Kamphousiri and Lada RSiam, joined the press conference for the “Stop Jaywalking, Start a Culture of Safety on the Street” event, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Don’t Drive Drunk Foundation, at the Rachathewi Room of the Asia Hotel Bangkok. They helped to spread awareness of safety on the road during the festive season.
COOLfahrenheit, led and represented by Managing Director Prinn Muensuksaeng along with COOLJ Pipe Paworn Kijjaroenkarnkul, presented the proceeds from “Cool Degree Listen Well, Do Good” of 200,000 baht to Deaf Thai Foundation to support the purchase of hearing aids for impoverished deaf students.
Mungkorn Paphawin Hongkajorn, Goodwill Ambassador of the Thai Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (TSPCA), and Nan Krittaporn Hanyothin with Dr. Sathit Pratchaya-ariyakul, Acting Secretary General of the Society, stepped in to help stray dogs and cats that suffered from lack of food after the flooding in Hua Wiang, Sena district. They donated 90 crates with 7,560 cans of dog and cat food to the Livestock Office in Ayutthaya to help the animals affected by floods.
Representing Channel 8, actors Iang Sittha, Bowling Pridsana, and Nachad Kaviyanat volunteered in The “Nam Phra Thai Phra Racha Than” project organized by the National Council on Social Welfare of Thailand under Royal Patronage. They swept and cleaned the streets and distributed food in the Suan Ngoen community to honor His Majesty the King and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit (Rama 9).
The “Channel 8 Ruam Jai Chuay Isan” project with the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation of Udon Thani and Khon Kaen helped Isan people affected by floods. They were joined by celebrities from Channel 8 and the RSiam music label.
Bowling Pridsana Kamphousiri and Alice RSiam presented donated funds from Thai people, who came together to donate via “Channel 8 Ruam Jai Chuay Isan Relief”, to Gen. Chatchai Sarikulya, Minister of Agriculture, to help and mitigate suffering for the people of Ubon Ratchathani.
Dr. Ong-art Singlumpong, Senior Executive Vice President of Channel 8, along with Channel 8 actors, visited and helped flood victims in Phon Na Kaeo district, Sakon Nakorn province. They brought over 400 bags of consumables, as well as monetary donations from fellow Thais, donated through the “Channel 8 Ruam Jai Chuay Isan” project, of 200,000 baht. The funds were handed to Maj. Gen. Sukpatsorn Suksaroi, Commander of the 29th Army Precinct, Camp Kist Sivara, Sakon Nakorn.
Ble Pathumrach RSiam invited everyone to make merit for fathers and donate blood at the National Blood Donation Center of the Thai Red Cross under the project “Do Good For Father by Donating Blood” to help fellow humans, especially during the holiday season when accidents often occur; the blood reserves must be at least 2,500 to 3,000 units per day.

LeeShare Wiyada Peerarattakun from the Channel 8 Morning News program received a Ganesha Award for Outstanding Female News Reporter from the Broadcast Journalists Association of Thailand at the 5th National Radio and Television Ganesha Awards 2017.
Bew Kalayanee RSiam was given a plaque from Mr. Nipon Petchpornprapas, Consulate General, New York, as “A Person who Benefits Others” from the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security. She also performed in the First Annual Gala Ball 1-year anniversary of the Thai American Society of New York in New York, USA.
Kratae RSiam won a Female Thai Country Singer Award for the song “Ror Pi Ti Baan Nok” at the “Petch Nai Paeng” awards ceremony of 2017, dubbed the “National Thai Language Day”, organized by the Office of Literature and History and the Fine Arts Department.
Mod Napaphat Wattanakamonwut and Iang Sittha Sapanuchart from Channel 8 received a plaque from HRH Princess Soamsawali as presenters for the campaign to refrain from alcohol during Buddhist Lent, to promote awareness of the harms of drinking alcohol and National Anti-Alcohol Day 2017, by the Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health.
Ble Pathumrach RSiam earned an award on World No Tobacco Day 2017 as a presenter under the theme “smoking is evil and destroys development” from the Department of Disease Control.
Channel 8 stars, news anchors and RSiam artists, led by Ble Pathumrach RSiam, Jean Gaewalin Sriwanna, Bos Puttipong Klamjeenpanuwong, and LeeShare Wiyada Peerarattakun received Awards for Thai Artists for a Smoke-Free Society 2017 from the Network of Thai Health Professionals Against Smoking at the Chalerm Prakiat 50 Years Building of the Medical Association of Thailand. The awards recognized their work as role models, encouraging youth to stay away from smoking.
Channel 8 news anchor LeeShare Wiyada Peerarattakun from Morning News program, Duay Phakaphong and Naz Teekamporn from “Pak Tong Dong Ru” won the Best News Award for 2017 from the Daily Mirror newspaper at the meeting center of Chulabhorn Research Institute.
Naz Teekamporn Youkamnerd, presenter of business news from the show “Morning News” on Channel 8 and “Pak Tong Dong Ru”, was awarded the Petch Nam Ekkarat Nao Dee Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement for adding value to Thai society from the Support and Development of Thai Society Project of the Thanying Chantorn Charatsri Yugala Foundation.
Ja RSiam won “Best Female Folk Singer of the Year 2016” from the 6th Daradaily The Great Awards.

The training included those required by law: 1) four groups of safety training for general employees and new employees (163 participants); 2) two groups of basic first aid and resusitation training (56 participants); 3) one group of workplace safety officer training at the executive management level (12 participants); and 4) two groups of workplace safety officer training in the group head level (51 participants).

Focusing on the importance of continuously building engagement among employees by arranging various activities such as the giving of meaningful gifts, such as 100% organic rice from farmers in Surin. This was given as New year gifts to executives, employees, artists, singers, actors and broadcasters.
  5. Announce the safety policy covering workplace health and environment, with a working group comprised of employees from all levels and covering all working systems. This is to drive security policies towards tangible results and in accordance with laws and standards related to safety.

"RS Birthday Charity 2016 Event"
RS Public Company Limited continued its activity, titled “RS Birthday Charity 2016”, for its employees, artists, singers and actors. Each month, those with birthdays came together to share joy with the socially disadvantaged, patients with serious diseases, children, the elderly and the disabled under foundations for public welfare and other public organizations. Examples of activities included the provision of lunch, essential consumer goods, and entertainment in the form of singing and dancing with the children at the Home for Children with Disabilities (Baan Nontapum), Pakkred. Artists, singers, actors and RS staff also donated pre-loved items in usable condition to the project as a way of generating funds to support the education of Thai youth; the latter receive scholarships from Yuvabadhana Foundation. Other initiatives included the hosting of lunch for patients on the grounds of the Phramongkutklao Hospital; donating food and essential supplies to the dogs and cats at the Home for Disabled Animals, Pakkred; providing luncheon for the children in the cafeteria area of Srisangwan School of the Foundation to Help Disabled Persons under royal patronage of HRH the Princess Mother Somdej Phra Srinagarindra Boromrajajonani; and decorating potted plants in the global environmental month to help create a vibrant atmosphere to the cancer patients of Chulabhorn Research Institute.

Objectives:

  1. To provide assistance to individuals, organizations and various charities.
  2. To give moral support to children, elders, disabled people, and other chronically ill patients who suffer from affliction and require assistance.
  3. To encourage interested artists, actors and actresses and other employees to continuously participate in helping society.
  4. To give artists, actors and actresses some parts in participating in building good deeds and good role model to the general public.
  5. To encourage employees to feel committed to the organization.
Other CSR Activities in 2016
Dr. Ongart Singlumpong, Managing Director of Channel 8 led a team of actors, including Baitoey RSiam and Martin Midal, to donate 400,000 baht from the sales of a Channel 8 calendar to Ramathibodi Hospital Foundation in support of the Chakri Narueput Bodin Institute of Medicine.
Mungkorn-Paphawin and Farsai-Ornjira, actors from Channel 8 joined the press conference for the “Day of Blooming Poppies” campaign, which invited people in Thailand to purchase poppies. The money generated from the sales helped support the families of wounded veterans as well as the Veterans Family Relief Foundation Under the Patronage HRH the Princess Mother Srinagarindra Boromrajajonani on Veteran’s Day.
The “Laeng Ni Mai Laeng Nam Jai Duay Garn Hai Lohit” for blood donation brought the lead actresses from Channel 8 Mod-Napaphat to meet Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha. They helped support a Songkran campaign that encouraged appropriate behavior, water conservation and blood donation to help victims of road accidents during Songkran. The latter was to help build up the blood supply, which could be dispatched to hospitals in a timely manner.
Police Lieutenant General Sanit Mahathawon, Permanent Commander of the Metropolitan Police, and Police Major General Songpol Wattanachai, Metropolitan Chief Commander 6, along with Channel 8, held “Pong-gan Ak-kee Pai Chuang Tessakan Duj Jeen” or the Fire Protection Campaign for Chinese New Year. Channel 8 artists and actors such as Lala, Lulu and Fai- Walulee Ditsayabuth joined the campaign.
Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, Council Chairwoman of the Thai Red Cross, graciously appointed Mr. Paen Wannamethee, Secretary General of the Thai Red Cross Society, as her representative to visit flood-stricken areas, along with a team of broadcasters from Channel 8 such as LeeShare-Wiyada, Koi-Bunyita, Naz-Ticamporn, A-Donnakrit, Lulu and Lala. The group donated drinking water to people who have suffered from the flood crisis in Phak Hai district of Ayutthaya province.
RS artists including Kratae-Kratai RSiam, Black Jack-Jarupong, Noey-Senorita, Poi-Pornwara, Third-Lapat and many more took part in the water saving and Songkran safety campaign called “Save Water Save Life”.
Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha with Professor Khlinik Kiatikhun, Dr. Piyasakon Sakolsattayatorn, Minister of Public Health, Dr. Amnuay Kajeena, Director General of the Department of Disease Control, and RS artists such as Baitoey-Suteewan and Alice-Chayada supported a campaign to clear the breeding grounds of Aedes Aegypti mosquitoes. At the same time, they launched an application to vanquish the mosquito larvae. The government used the opportunity during the dry season to accelerate the clearance of such mosquitoes using three guidelines for the prevention of three diseases.
ACM Chaiyaphruek Ditsayasarin, Assistant to the Air Force Commander, and Channel 8 joined forces to do good for HM the King, to help victims of the cold spell in Sarapee district, Chiang Mai province. Stars from Channel 8 including Baitoey-Suteewan, Mod-Napaphat, Bowling-Prissana and Mungkorn-Paphawin took a plane from Mitpracha Air Force Base units to help the frigid area’s residents, which included the elderly. They donated 250 blankets to people in remote areas, and they helped to coordinate mobile medical units at Sarapee Pitayakhom School in Sarapee district of Chiang Mai province.
Kung-Suthirat RSiam, the host of Ueng Thueng Sieow show, along with actress from Channel 8 Kanomjean-Kulamart, served as presenters for promotion activities to support Dok Kaew Kalaya (the official flower that symbolizes the Day of the Disabled) on the occasion of National Day of Disabled Persons. Funds raised helped support the “Dok Kaew Kalaya Fund” for people with disabilities on the dedicated day.
Channel 8 Events to Return the Love” offered entertainment and donations, water blessings, and meals for the elderly on National Seniors Day at the Seniors Home of Bang Khae 2. Artists present at this merit-making event included Mod-Napaphat, Eang-Sitha, Pek-Rattapoom and Selina Pearce.
RS celebrities such as Ja RSiam and Fluke-Jira met Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha to lend their support for the 60+ Earth Hour campaign. They invited the people of Thailand to turn off their unnecessary lights for one hour, from 20:30 to 21:30 hrs. This was part of a larger effort with more than 7,000 participating cities around the world. According to statistics, the lights off for one hour in 2015 saved up to 1,699 megawatts of electricity that reduced emissions of carbon dioxide by 1,073 tons. This translated into the reduction of the cost of electricity production by up to 6,656,699 baht.
To deliver happiness to the children at Baan Na Noi School and Baan Na Lab School in Nan province, part of the “Channel 8 Events to Return Love” program, RS artists and actors from Channel 8 boarded a C-130 military aircraft from the Mitpracha Air Force Base to send love by volunteering to provide music entertainment to the children. They also delivered school supplies, sports equipment and scholarships. The stars are such as Lala, Lulu, Bowling-Prissana and Eang-Sitha.

A-Donnakrit, Koi-Bunyita and LeeShare-Wiyada, entertainment news anchors on “Channel 8 News Talk” on Channel 8 received the “Prachabdi” and “Khem Cherd Choo-kiat” awards in 2016, which recognizes media that offers activities that benefit those in difficult situations. The award was arranged by the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security.
Stars from Channel 8 and RSiam artists such as Jintara Poonlarp, Bowling-Prissana, Mungkorn-Paphawin and Arm-Pipat COOLJ from the Cool93 received the “Artists Against Smoking in Thai Society Award” in 2016 from the Network of Health Professionals for a Smoking-Free Thailand at the Medical Association of Thailand building.
Mod-Napaphat and Mungkorn-Paphawin participated in the pin presentation to act as the Ambassador to the Thai Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (TSPCA) to work for the protection of and in assistance to abused animals.
Kung-Suthirat RSiam, the host of the program “Ueng Thueng Sieow” from Channel 8 was awarded the plaque of honor as a “person who works to benefit children and youth” in 2016 in the category of “media for children and youth that prevents societal problems”. The award was granted by the Office of Welfare Promotion, Protection of Children, Youth and the Disadvantaged, Disabled and Elderly under the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security.
Kung-Suthirat and Noo-Meter from RSiam received the decorative pouch pin for 2016 from the 2nd Royal Infantry Regiment for being a person who does good deeds and always supports the infantry regiment’s activities.
RSiam stresses being the number one country music label in Thailand, and swept up 6 out of 15 honors in the 12th Annual Mahanakorn Award series held by FM 95 Look Tung Mahanakorn led by National Artist Chai Muangsingh, BowVee, Kratae-Kratai RSiam, Deunpen AmNuayPorn and Nuch-Wilawan RSiam.

Bank-Athikit avolunteers to donate blood in helping other people by inviting Thai to donate blood as a protection against blood shortage in the "World Blood Donor Day". The campaign is to encourage blood donation in every 3 months or 4 times a year under the slogan "Give freely, give often; Blood donation matters" so that blood supply will be sufficient for receivers and also resulting good health to donors as well.

On the occasion of His Majesty the King’s Birthday on December 5th and the 2014 New Year celebration, in order to show loyalty to His Majesty the King and love towards our father, the RS Public Company Limited, in cooperation with Raks Thai Foundation, and Chulalongkorn Hospital, have arranged for the "Do For Dad" project (this card is for our father) under the "RS Give Back" project of RS Public Company Limited, and "84 Years – 84 Schools" of the Raks Thai Foundation. This activity has been conducted throughout December month by arranging for artists or the "Raks Thai" Good-will Ambassador to write the father day cards together with children suffering from chronic illness at the Chulalongkorn Hospital so the children can post these cards showing love to their fathers.

"Support the Elephant Family" Project

RS Public Company Limited, under the "RS Give Back" project, in coordination with the "Thai Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals", TSPCA, have arranged activity on inviting people and the general public to support in feeding the baby elephants. This is to take care and help the growing baby elephants not to becoming stray elephant and living under proper care. Artist "Nako Jump", the TSPCA Good-Will Ambassador for 2013, is a role model in supporting the baby elephant through the "Asian Elephant Foundation of Thailand" with the aim to attract general public in supporting and helping elephant, which is the country’s animal mascot, and in order to stimulate people’s attention in participating in valuable activities for society.

Kamikaze - Lunch Treat Project for "Rajvithi Home for Girls"

The Kamikaze music label, a subsidiary of RS Public Company Limited, under the "Kamikaze Give & Share" project has arranged for a lunch treat at "Rajvithi Home for Girls". This is to pay and share happiness back to society by giving lunch to about 70 girls with age between 6 – 18 years old who have been under conditions that require relief due from problems of lacking supporter, poor family, or under distress condition with improper care, broken family, father or mother require assistance or under arrest, etc. Apart from activities on entertainment and lunch treat, the Company also donates part of the activity’s income to the "Rajvithi Home for Girls" for other activities as well.

Objectives

  1. Reinforcing involvement on activitiesconcerning animal health cares, and the value of animal lifethrough the TSPCA ambassadors from RSartists, and volunteer networks on rabies’ watch.
  2. Opening opportunity for communities to access the rabies protection and control services.
  3. Development on correct knowledge and understanding in animal rearing among people in communities and the general public.
  4. To dedicate this charitable accomplishment to His Majesty the King Rama 9.

Activity Details

  1. In close collaborations with the Thai Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (TSPCA), and other related agencies.
  2. RS artists participated in the opening ceremony for project in creating rabies free area in Nonthaburi by associating with the Thai Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (TSPCA).
  3. Actual operation on registering and sterilizing dogs in real area together with the mobile vet units, officers from Nonthaburi livestock office, and volunteer networks in communities.
  4. Public relations activities in building correct knowledge and understanding in animal rearing, and joining other volunteers for rabies watch in communities.

Expected Results

Project Details

Project “Making Artificial breast for breast cancer victims by Friends of Women’s Volunteers” has been established to open opportunity for interested persons the chance to help their female breast cancer friends to receive their breasts back. Additionally, this is to give support to the cancer victims their chances for equal treatment such as, same standard of treatment, place for medical storage, as well as other remedial accessories such as hairpiece, or artificial breast. Interested persons can join this project by donating or giving material support. Moreover, people with volunteer spirit are invited to join in for social activity in making artificial breast on the International Women’s Day. Objectives

  1. To show appreciation to His Majesty the King on the occasion of His Majesty 84th Birthday Anniversary in 2011.
  2. To promote education and educational equipment to children and deprived schools in remote rural areas.

Activity Details

  1. Announcement for donation of educational equipment from employees at RS Public Company Limited, Jack JarupongKluaymai-Ngarm fan club, and general public.
  2. Delivery of educational equipment to Raks Thai Foundation by Jack JarupongKluaymai-Ngarm, the Raks Thai Foundation Ambassador, together with employees of RS Public Company Limited.
  3. Jack JarupongKluaymai-Ngarm, the Raks Thai Foundation Ambassador, visited Bannarklang School, Banhuaypukkrud Branch, MaeJam District, Chiengmaito deliver books and paint the school building. Other activities included vegetable planting and local vegetable seeds conservation project, educational project on local chicken of Banhuaypukkrud and chicken rearing, walking catfish rearing project, tree planting project, and school garbage management project.

“7 Dangerous Days – Join in to Reduce Traffic Accident”

RS Public Company Limited, utilize under the “RS Give Back” project, has arranged a campaign called “7 Dangerous Days – Join in to Reduce Traffic Accident” in order to protect and reduce accidents during the Songkran and new year festival as problem concerning road traffic accidents have increased gradually. At the same time, Government organizations and related private sectors have joined in for measuresto tackle these traffic accidents in order to reduce the number of accidents during the festive seasons.

Objectives

  1. To assist drivers to drive with care during various festive seasons.
  2. This is the continuation of “RS Give Back” project.

Activities on National Children’s Day by distributing presents to various organizations such as Directorate of Civil Affairs, National Library of Thailand, Home for Mentally Handicapped Children, and Preschool Child Development Center at “RuamPattana” community, Ban-Par .
Activity on selling poppies to support soldiers on the Veterans day
Project “Artists unite to help the underprivileged people at SirirajHospital” artists receiving donations and selling “Mahidol” flag.
Activity on selling Jasmines on occasion of the National Mother’s Day with income to be donated to the National Council on Social Welfare of Thailand to help people in distress and educational grants for poor children nationwide.
Blood donation activity at the National Blood Centre, Thai Red Cross Society, due to blood shortage situation and to be used in emergency cases.
Project “Silapin Pun-Namjai” donates clothing, educational supplies, sports equipment to children at “Ban Buak-jan” school, Pong-yang sub-district, Mae-rim district, Chiengmai under the project name “Nao-nee PueNongPuyakrai”, or “For Needy Children inwinter”.
Activity on “Returning school back to kids – Association with community” at “WatPhadTongchai School”, Ayutthaya province.
Project “RS-Coordinate our Hearts to Help Flood Victims”

Principle and Rationale

Proceeding from severe flooding in many provinces of Thailand, all Thais are concerned and have shown their willingness to assist the flood victims. RS Public Company Limited which is listed as the number 1 company in entertainment business, has initiated the project “RS-Coordinate our Hearts to Help Flood Victims” to raise funds and materials for flood victims. People have been invited to make donations for purchasing of necessary items in helping the flood victims. Revenue from this fund raising project has been donated to victims in the provinces without deducting any expenses.

Objectives

  1. Invite singers and artists to participate in the fund raising campaign to help flood victims.
  2. Appease and give morale support to flood victims.
  3. Initiate in inviting general public and youth with volunteer mindsets to participate in projects for helping flood victims.

Activity Details

  1. Participation of artists from RS and other artists in selling T-shirts to help flood victims together with the Thai Red Cross Society.
  2. Management and artists conveyed donations to flood victims or to organizations that helped flood victims.
  3. RS artists visited the flooded areas and delivered survival bags to flood victims.
  4. RS artists, participating as youth leaders, volunteered in packing the survival bags and distributing foods to flood victims in many evacuation centers.

Expected Results

  1. Pictures that show unity of artists and stars joining forces in selling T-shirts and receiving donations from the helping and coordinating general public.
  2. Donations in the forms of money and materials to flood victims will more or less relieve their distresses.
  3. People and youths with volunteer mindsets participate in helping flood victims in many evacuation centers.
KAMIKAZE’S LOVER Project “Deaf but We Can Feel

Project Objectives

  1. Implanting of perception in Thai youth and then reaffirm its awareness to all Thais on the importance of sharing to disabled children, and readily to provide them with opportunities in society to give them confidence and happy living.
  2. Part of the project income will be donated to the “Foundation for the Deaf under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen” for its various projects.

Target Group of the Project

Main Target Group : Teenagers, male-female, aged 12-22, countrywide, who are Kamikaze fan club. Minor Target Group: All Thais, and agencies under the government and private sectors, including the mass media. Social Role and Responsibilities KAMIKAZE’S LOVER Project “Deaf but We Can Feel”

Project Details

  1. Compose the song and music video called “Every Minute” using 36 artists from the Kamikaze group singing the “Every Minute” song with guest actors from the hearing impaired children joining in the music video.
  2. Kamikaze artists and deaf children presented thornapple flowers, which were symbol for deaf children, to the prime minister and cabinet ministries during their meeting.
  3. News announcement on details of the Kamikaze’s Lover Project.
  4. Arrange the Kamikaze’s Lover concert and donate revenue to the “Foundation for the Deaf under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen”. The hearing impaired children joined in using their sign language together with artists on stage. Moreover, the hearing impaired children were invited to the concert which was facilitated with sign language throughout. This was to share love and happiness to all of them countrywide.
  5. Revenues from the project together with VCD were donated for various activities of the hearing impaired children.

Expected Results

  1. Thai youth and also Thai people will give priority on the importance of sharing to disable children and provide them with opportunities in society which will give them more confidence.
  2. Part of the revenue in the project that was donated to the “Foundation for the Deaf under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen” will generate benefits to many projects under the foundation.
YWCA of Thailand-Goodwill Ambassador

RS Public Company Limited has continuously participated in activities for society which includes supporting its artists to become Goodwill Ambassadors in various organizations, and becoming core leaders in inviting public to participate in many activities for society.

The Goodwill Ambassador for YWCA performs as representative and image of YWCA in promoting women as well as young women in having volunteer mindsets, and also leads them to changes by generating strength and increases their capabilities to participate in every levels of decision making. This will be prepared through campaign and activity arrangements for women and young women on their rights in society, economics, religion, politics and administration, and health. Emphasize has to be made on important topics of violence on women and child, reproductive health, appropriate sexual relationship, aids, economic strength, and equal right on education. Additionally, this also includes promotion for organization to conduct its mission in accordance with corporate governance, serving its members efficiently, and effectively.

Objectives

  1. Become leader for changes by generating strength and increases capabilities for women and young women.
  2. Promote and support women and young women in having volunteer mindset.
  3. Campaign and arrange activities for women and young women on their rights in society such as violence on women and girls, appropriate sexual relationship, aids, economic strength, and equal right on education.

Activity Details

  1. Participate in various activities that promote strong women, and becoming leaders of young women in activities for society.
  2. Use public relations on YWCA activities such as fund raising activity, and meeting of the World YWCA, etc.

Expected Results

  1. Thai women and young women will be strong and having more capability in society.
  2. Joining forces of women with volunteer mindsets to participate in social activities will increase and will be more visible.
  3. Problem concerning violence on women and girls in society will reduce.

Project: “Cleaning Temple and Mind”

Principle and Rationale

Referring to the flood crisis since late September 2011, current situation in some inundated areas have been alleviated, however, trails of damages in many areas are visibly left behind such as areas of the Buddhist shrines and monasteries in many temples. The Supreme Patriarch Secretariat together with RS Public Company Limited has initiated a “Project – His Holiness Somdet Phra Nyanasamuara, Supreme Patriarch of Thailand”: Cleaning Temple and Mind in 2011. This is designed to recuperate the flood victims’ minds with some useful activities to relief them from sadness, and also restore Buddhist places back to their formal beauty.

Objectives

  1. Restore Buddhist places in the inundated areas back to their formally clean and beautiful conditions.
  2. Build solidarity to all people in every group in accordance with Buddhist teaching concept of “Compassion” by using the Buddhist places as center for their minds.
  3. Open up opportunity for new generation of youth with volunteer mindset to join in the public services.

Activity Details

  1. Announcements are made through public relations to people who have faith and volunteer mindset to donate cleaning equipment, as well as to spend their spare time usefully by cleaning up the Buddhist places affected by flood. Donations are made at the Supreme Patriarch Secretariat, Wat Bowonnivej Woraviharn.
  2. Visit and clean the surrounding temple area which includes cleaning and renovating damaged equipment. Survival bags are also distributed to flood victims nearby.

Expected Results

  1. Buddhist places in the inundated areas will be restored to their originally clean and beautiful appearances.
  2. The creation of solidarity to all people in every group by joining together in activities that used the Buddhist places as center for their minds.
  3. More new generation of youth with volunteer mindset will join in to work with the public services.
TSPCA’s Ambassador (Thai Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals’ Goodwill Ambassador)

Objectives

  1. Build consciousness on value of animal life and instill kindness to animal in youth and general public.
  2. Campaign for people to report on cruelty to animals.
  3. Support and manage on giving services or aid to animals as appropriated.

Activity Details

  1. Continuation of the project “Animal Friendly Schools and Stakeholders Capacity Building Program”.
    This project is the continuation on implanting conscious in new generation of Thai youth to be kind to animals, feeding them with understanding of their natural behavior. Activities on campaign to teach children in schools are:
    - Activity with recreation on loving animals at school such as activity in the boy-scout camp by giving knowledge on animals to youth while inserting recreation activity to children as well.
    - Project on educating knowledge to children by joining with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), starting with school in the BMA first.
  2. Good Friend Volunteers Project
    General public and students who are interested to assist in the society’s activities are invited to join. TSPCA’s certificate and commendable T-shirt will be awarded to people who join the project.
  3. A Rehome & Adoption Program
    Activities include regulation arrangements, visiting, campaign on donations of necessary food and medicine for vagabond dogs and cats, guiding members on some beneficial trips (sterilization, vaccination) at the society’s fostering homes.
    - In order to build dedication and coordination in solving problems on vagabond animals.
    - Act as collaboration center between vagabond animals’ caretakers and people who want to adopt them.
    - Lightening the load and responsibility of vagabond animals’ caretakers.
    - Open opportunity to people who want to participate in fostering vagabond animals.
    - Improve vagabond animals’ living quality and health.
    - Assist government agency in reducing environmental pollution and promote local community’s health.
  4. Project “Drive for Legislation to Promote and Protect Animal Welfare” in Thailand
    Act as mouthpiece for the campaign to push for the legislation to become effective in Thailand, and spread out internationally through the Asia Pacific region.

Expected Results

  1. Youth and general public will realize the value of animal life, and show some kindness to animals.
  2. Youth and general public will obtain knowledge and understanding on animal cares.
  3. More volunteers are expected to join in the activity.
  4. Able to push through the law by passing the “Legislation to Promote and Protect Animal Welfare” in Thailand.

C-Quint joined campaign on tree planting for the project “Tree Planting following Father’s Footsteps”

RS artists participated in selling jasmines on behalf of the National Council on Social Welfare of Thailand. Part of income would be presented to HM the Queen to help people in distress, and as scholarships to impoverished children nationwide.
